Pipeline construction and commissioning

Scope: Construction, fabrication
Overview: this contract involved constructing of crude oil pipelines in Shell's Northern Swamp location in its western division. The activities carried out included digging and preparation of trenches, pipe coating, pipe welding, pipe laying, inspection and pressure testing. Total constructed length exceeded 12KM of various pipe diameters.
Manpower Development

Scope: Consultancy
Overview: Shell Petroleum Development Coy in its vision to change from an oil company; into an oil and gas company, has embarked on an ambitious gas development program, which has made it necessary to “re-skill” many of its employees. We are a frontline participant in this re-skilling process, operating as Slanik Engineering, we provide 3 rd party intensive residential training. We offer various courses including: Production technologies, control philosophy and implementation, electrical and electronic systems, fire detection and management, emergency shut down procedures, etc
Engineering design contract
Client: Shell Petroleum Development Coy
Location: Delta State
Scope: Concept design, detailed engineering design
Overview: Forcados Effluent disposal contract involved concept and detailed design for a solution to be adopted in event of a simultaneous failure of two crude oil tanks in SPDCs tank farm in Forcados. The concept designs provided various solutions which were pared down to two during consultation with the client, followed by detailed engineering on the adopted solutions.
Environmental Impact assessment studies
Client: Texaco Overseas Nigeria
Location: Continental Shelf , Nigeria
Scope: Environmental consulting
Overview: There exists increased pressure
from various groups urging the oil producing companies to
show greater care for the environment in their operations.
Our contract involved quantifying the impact to the environment
of 3 producing offshore fields Madu, Chioma 1, and Chioma
2 and defining baseline environmental data for these developments
from which further studies would be compared to for impact
monitoring.
Channel sweeping, sand stockpiling and supply
Client: Intels
Location: Onne Oil & Gas free zone
Scope: Dredging, material logistics
Overview: Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone operator INTELS gave out a contract for the sweeping of the channel leading to the port of the Onne Federal Ocean Terminal. Acting as subcontractors to the main contractor we carried out channel sweeping maintenance dredging for the 1.2Km channel. We also provided sand stockpiling and supply services to INTELS' construction subsidiary PRODECO.
